The 1756-L63 is a Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) from . This controller is part of the earlier Logix controller version which is specifically part of the 5560 product series. This controller comes with an RS232 Serial communication interface as the primary communication port, however, this controller supports other communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Data Highway Plus, Remote I/O, SynchLink and other 3rd party communication protols by installing communication adapters and encompass partner modules.

This controller comes with 8 MB user memory and I/O memory of 478 KB. It may be added with non-volatile memory storage via the 1784-CF128 only which has 128 MB memory size. For I/O interfacing, this controller supports up to 128,000 Discrete Input and Output and 4000 Analog Input and Output signals.
