The MVI56-ADM module features a debugging/configuration port, CFG port, serial ports P1/P2, and application specific ports (PRT1 and PRT2). The cables used for connecting the module must be 9 meters long for each port and there must be a 6 feet long RS-232 cable for configuration. Besides that, these modules include LED indicators for the status of the module, the status of the backplane transfer, the serial port activity, and the status of the application.

The MVI56-ADM module serves as an input/output module and it accustomed to transferring data between the module and processor while using the processor’s memory. The ‘C’ programmable modules feature 2 serial ports (ADM), backplane interface to the processor, an API library, a portable code, a Digital Mars C++ compiler, and they are a great serial solution for custom applications.
