The 1785-ME64 is an Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) module. This module is user-modifiable read-only memory (ROM) which can be erased and reprogrammed (written to) repeatedly through applications with a higher-than-normal power supply voltage.
The 1785-ME64 can be used as a Backup module. This module comes with a Control Coprocessor Expansion Port. Remember to switch power off before removing or inserting this module. If you remove or install the module with the power switched on, an electrical arc may happen, and this electrical arc can cause injury and excessive wear to the contacts on the module and its mating connector. |
